PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

Wentz Foot & Ankle Specialists participates in most insurance plans, including Medicare. No referral is needed with most insurance plans, although TriWest does require a referral for veterans.

Please contact our office at (719) 539-6600 with any questions you have regarding payment or insurance.

• Insurance Cards: Please bring your card(s) with you to your appointment so we can make a copy. If you do not bring your insurance card(s), your visit will be Self-Pay.

• Co-Payments: These are the amounts you have agreed with your insurance company to pay at each doctor’s office visit. We do not bill secondary insurance for co-payments. If you do not have the required co-payment with you, our agreement with your insurance company will necessitate rescheduling your appointment.

• Insurance Claims: We will, for your convenience, submit your health claims using the insurance information you provide. If you change insurance coverage, please let us know when you arrive for your appointment. Be aware that many insurance plans include deductible amounts that are your responsibility. Deductible amounts are due at your visit.

• Late or missed appointments: We take great care in creating the schedule for Dr. Wentz to accommodate as many patients as possible. If you are late for your appointment, we will do our best to work you in after you arrive. Please call ahead at (719) 539-6600 to let us know if you will be late or need to reschedule an appointment.
